Organic Acorn-fed Iberian Chorizo
Gourmet MadridVery good organic acorn-fed Iberian chorizo from 100% Iberian pigs reared in the wild in the oak forests of southern Spain.
Extremadura is the cradle of Iberian ham with large areas of forest where each pig has at least one hectare to feed on acorns. This means that 100 pigs will have at least 100 hectares to roam and eat acorns, roots and herbs.
The amount of acorns that each pig will eat will be 8-10 kg per day. This gives an excellent taste to hams, loin and chorizo.
In the case of the ORGANIC chorizo, the oak areas where the animals are raised are certified as ORGANIC and guaranteed free of pesticides, treatments and GMOs.
This chorizo is sweet to take advantage of the excellent taste of its meat.
