This ham is 75% Duroc breed and usually weighs between 9 and 10 kg, so it will be cured for at least 24 months.
This ham is produced in the province of Granada, in Sierra Nevada, at altitudes between 1,200 and 1,750 meters. This area has a very dry and very cold climate in winter and hot summers. The microclimate and purity of the air in Trevelez favor a completely artisanal production process. No artificial means are used to cure the hams.
