This ham has no additives. The only ingredients are the ham and salt.
It comes from pigs that have been raised in freedom in the dehesas of Extremadura, in the southwest of Spain.
The animals feed only on acorns, roots and herbs in huge forests of certified organic oaks.
It is a very natural product as the curing of hams from 36 to 48 months is done without artificial means. The ham is made slowly in cellars where the climate of the region is very dry and very cold in winter and very hot in summer.
Each animal has at least 10,000 square meters to have a diet rich in acorns.
This ham has the green seal that certifies it as organic and the black seal that certifies it as 100% Iberian acorn-fed ham Pata Negra.
